FARC

U.S. counter drug objectives in Columbia seek to make it unprofitable to engage in drug trade through eradication and interdiction efforts. Additionally financial and tactical aid is given to the colombian government by  U.S. operatives to push the anti-drug movement in one of the largest drug producing countries in South America.

They plan to do this by eradicating coca leaf and opium poppy, the Colombian National Police sprayed about 120,000 hectares of coca back in 2003 to further this effort. Also they have provided intellegence and training to columbian police to deal with FARC.
